Who provides AstrologyAPI?
AstrologyAPI is operated by Vedic Rishi Astro Solutions Pvt Ltd. Write to [email protected] for privacy questions, deletion requests or data protection agreements. Our registered office is D-3/60, SVP Nagar, Versova MHADA, Andheri-West, Mumbai - 400053, Maharashtra, India.
What information do the services process?
It depends on the feature. Requests can include birth date, birth time, birthplace or coordinates, names or profile identifiers, palm or face images, floor plans, questions and conversation history. Services return calculations, interpretations, images or reports. We also process information needed to manage accounts, payments and support. Send only the information needed for the endpoint you use.

Are you a controller or a processor?
We determine how information is used for our own account administration, billing, website and business communications. When we process personal data solely to provide a service on a customer's documented instructions, we act as a processor. If that customer is a processor for another organisation, we act as its subprocessor.
If you use an application built by an AstrologyAPI customer, that application's privacy notice also applies. Its operator is responsible for explaining its collection and use of your information.
Do JSON APIs store submitted birth details?
No. Our JSON APIs do not retain submitted user details. They retain which API was called and whether the request succeeded or failed. This rule concerns the JSON API service; generated PDFs, image records and AI chat have the separate retention periods below.
How long are reports, images and chats kept?

The thirty-day period is approximate. These product rules describe data held by AstrologyAPI; they do not set a deletion period for copies downloaded by customers or independently retained by other providers.
What do palm, face and Vastu identifiers mean?
An identifier can refer to a retained image or analysis record used for later requests. Chat context supports conversational continuity. An identifier is not proof that the underlying data is anonymous: records, images and generated readings can still relate to an identifiable person. The approximately thirty-day deletion cycle applies to these AstrologyAPI records, including originals and backups.
Is user data used to train AI models?
AstrologyAPI never trains models on user data. Our AI services use multiple providers, mainly OpenAI and Gemini, and we prohibit providers from using customer data for their own evaluation.
AI providers process the information needed to deliver the requested feature. Their service-specific retention, safety monitoring, human review and model-use arrangements are separate from AstrologyAPI's own no-training commitment. Where is information processed?
We use AWS and Google Cloud infrastructure in India and US regions, Cloudflare for DNS and website hosting, and Cloudflare R2 and Amazon S3 for storage. This is an overview of our infrastructure, not a promise that every product, provider, backup or support activity operates only in those countries.
If your organisation needs a specific location or international-transfer arrangement, contact us before submitting the affected data. Any agreed restriction must be recorded in your contract.
Can I request a DPA?
Yes. Email [email protected] with your organisation's legal name, the services you intend to use and your data protection requirements. Our Data Processing Agreement page sets out proposed terms and the request-and-sign process. An agreement becomes binding only when the parties execute it with the relevant schedules.
Which providers support the services?
The service provider overview describes our principal infrastructure and AI providers. The service-specific subprocessor list and any transfer arrangements belong in the signed DPA. Website analytics, support tools and third-party clients can have different roles from providers processing customer API data.
How do I request access or deletion?
Email [email protected] with your account email and the relevant report, record or session identifier, if available. Explain the action you want. Do not include API secrets or unnecessary personal information. We may need to verify your authority and locate the affected records.
If you used a customer's application, contact its operator first. It controls its own copies and can instruct us about the processing we perform for it. Deleting information from AstrologyAPI does not delete a customer's downloads, caches or other independent copies.
What should I know about security?
Keep API credentials on your server, limit access to your account and avoid placing secrets in public code, URLs or support messages. Report suspected unauthorised access to [email protected]. Our Security page explains integration precautions and how to request service-specific information.
Can I submit information about other people or children?
Only submit information you are authorised to provide. You are responsible for the required notices, lawful basis and any parent or guardian authorisation applicable to your use. Avoid unnecessary sensitive information and unrelated people in image uploads. Contact us before using the service for data involving children or other uses with additional legal requirements.
Does using AstrologyAPI make my application compliant?
No service integration establishes compliance by itself. Your assessment must cover your purposes, notices, legal basis, security, contracts, transfers and individual rights. Our policies and any signed DPA help you assess AstrologyAPI's part in that processing; they do not certify your application.
